Purple Emu Oil

Purple Emu oil is not a certain type of oil, it is instead Emu oil produced and marketed by a company named Purple Emu Ltd. The company is owned and run by Nettie Bunton, a woman who developed rosacea in her 30’s. She was forced to change her diet and stay out of the sun, and she was also administered various topical medications and antibiotics – all to no avail. Eventually, she tried an Emu oil based product and fortunately it proved to have a dramatic effect on her rosacea. This does not mean that anyone with rosacea will experience the same effect, but Nettie Bunton is certainly not the only rosacea patient who has experience a positive effect from Emu oil.

Nettie Bunton was so amazed with her results that she decided to develop her own Emu oil cream; a cream that would be ideal for rosacea patients. She contacted to scientists to help her and together they decided that they would also create an extra-strong variant for acne patients, since many rosacea patients are prone to acne as well. The result was a series of Emu oil creams marketed as Purple Emu Oil products.

The reasons behind rosacea is remains unknown, and more research is needed before we can even begin to understand the connection between Purple Emu oil and rosacea treatment, and how Purple Emu oil affects the human skin. Most dermatologists believe that rosacea is caused by damaged blood vessels that dilate too easily and fails to contract properly after being dilated.
